Nearly 12 years ago I was in sixth-form College in England studying English Literature, Ancient History and Christian Theology and Philosophy. I was tasked in my English class to write a poem... as it was Easter I thought I'd combine all my subjects and write a poem about the crucifixion of Christ. I was pretty happy with the poem and my teacher liked it (it was even published in an anthology somewhere) but I can't for the life of me remember it now and I'm certain it no longer exists. I do, however, have a habit of becoming very reflective at Easter. A decade later I'm married, have two beautiful kids, live in Australia and teach in a Catholic School (a Marist College) where I was given the task to conduct the prayer for the Easter Assembly with one of my senior classes. I put this video together and I'd like to share it with you. Whatever your belief, ideology, philosophy or theology I think the concept of love, sacrifice and giving of yourself for the benefit of others is a worthy ideal and to be applauded; whether in faith or fiction.
Happy Doodling
Happy Easter
